Slaton is a GSX intern, so he works on numerous GSX federal, non-federal, private, and public programs, offering assistance to GSX researchers and psychologists and helping them define and augment existing assessments and credentialing programs.
He is currently working on his master of science degree in Industrial/Organizational psychology at Radford University, and he attended Auburn University for his bachelor’s degree in psychology. During his first year at Radford, he worked as a student consultant for Volvo Trucks North America on a year-long culture analysis project.
Before attending college, Slaton served in the United States Air Force as a nuclear maintenance technician, held a top secret security clearance, and was awarded two achievement medals for meritorious service. He is excited to be part of a veteran team and ready to use his own experience and skills to make a difference.
Some X-Facts about Slaton
Slaton served as a Base Honor Guard member while stationed at Whiteman AFB and had the pleasure to perform more than 80 funeral ceremonies.
Before beginning graduate school, Slaton managed a sushi restaurant which came with endless sushi; he is now unable to eat sushi.
Slaton plays the ukulele just well enough to play along with the songs he writes, and continues to have failed attempts at learning the guitar.
